The groundbreaking diplomatic achievements of the Caribbean Ports Roundtable were tempered by a solemn moment of tribute as regional and U.S. delegates observed a minute of silence for the late Ian Pinard, CEO of the Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA).
Darwin Telemaque, Chairman of Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC), led the tribute, sharing a heartbreaking account of the final days leading up to the roundtable. Telemaque and his staff had worked closely with Pinard throughout the week to secure his travel visa for the Washington summit.
