The business community in Dominica is mourning the loss of well-known prominent businessman Arthur “Jakes” Joseph who died on July 15, 2024, after ailing for some time.
“Jakes” as he was more popularly known is famous for his bread and pastries for decades.
In a Facebook post, his daughter wrote, “You served your country by providing thousands of jobs for your people here (Golden Loaf Bakery). You started your business using a bicycle to transport your bread, and the love for your entire family, may the good Lord grant you peace…Rest in peace, my daddy..”
