Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles
Valid from: 6:00 AM on Thursday, September 26, 2024
Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave are expected to continue spreading showers which could be heavy at times and thunderstorms across the area during the next 24 hours. As a result, a flood watch will remain in effect until noon and could be further extended. A warning may be issued on short notice. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks are advised to remain alert and exercise caution.
Meanwhile, the National Hurricane Center continues to monitor a tropical wave in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean, which has a high chance of development. This system currently poses no threat to the region, but residents should continue to stay updated on its progress.
Sea conditions are expected to remain slight to moderate, with wave heights reaching up to 5 feet over the next 24 hours.
