Moisture and instability ahead of the axis of a tropical wave located east of the Lesser Antilles are expected to spread scattered showers and thunderstorms across the area today. A flood watch is in effect until noon today. Residents in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks are advised to remain alert and exercise caution, especially during the morning. A reduction in moisture levels is expected during the afternoon. However, an increase is expected overnight into Thursday.
Meanwhile, the National Hurricane Center continues to monitor a tropical wave in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean, which has a medium chance of development. This system currently poses no threat to the region, but residents should continue to stay updated on its progress.
Sea conditions are expected to remain slight to moderate, with wave heights reaching up to 5 feet over the next 24 hours.
