Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles
Valid from: 6:00 AM on Thursday, 19 June 2025
Moisture and instability trailing a tropical wave are expected to result in cloudy skies with scattered light to moderate showers, especially during the morning. There is a low chance of isolated thunderstorms. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rock are advised to be on alert and exercise caution. Thereafter, the Atlantic high-pressure system will become the dominant force.
Low concentration of Saharan dust is expected today, with varying concentrations into the weekend. People with respiratory sensitivities should continue to take the necessary precautions to avoid complications.
Seas are expected to be moderate, with waves peaking near 8ft on the eastern coast and near 5ft along the western shore. Small-craft operators and sea-bathers along the eastern coastline should continue to exercise caution. A reduction to nearly 7ft is expected from tonight.
