Blackmoore wants organizers of Bike Fest to be arrested

National Security Minister Rayburn Blackmoore has called for swift action against those responsible for holding the “Bike Fest” on July 25, 2021.

The Bike fest which started on the Bay Front in Roseau ended at “The Lot” in Pottersville where hundreds of patrons assembled without masks drinking and partying with no social distancing.

A number of persons who attended that event have tested positive for the COVID-19.

Blackmoore believes those responsible for organizing without permission need to face the full brunt of the law.

“Laws have to be enforced; they should not be on the books for good looks especially when it comes to COVID-19. So those events that we hearing that took place, from what I have heard and seen, there was no permission. So those persons have to be charged…having not received permission, those events should have been stopped by the police,” he said.

“That did not happen so we are going forward and so they have to be charged. There have to be consequences when people err especially on those critical issues concerning people’s lives and safety.”

Many questions are being asked as to who gave permission and if permission was not granted why was the action not stopped.

Acting Police Chief Lincoln Corbette has made no comments on the matter to date. Attached is the clip of Minister Blackmoore.

  1. Arrest the minister in the south who allegedly sponsored the huge Jam at the mall. Good for the goose it good for that ” other”.

    • Joseph Charles I totally agree with you.
Also, the Minister of National Security needs to charge himself for NOT securing out borders, coast etc. Also for breaking safety protocols quarentine for some on favours.
What’s good for the Goose is good for the Gander.
      Simple. Start with yourself Blackmore.
      Big Hypocrite..

  2. If they had no permission, why were police allegedly ‘policing’ the event? When permission is sought, do the police attend to do risk assessment and if not, why not? That location is TOO SMALL for a jam session. A bar should not be allowed permission for such an event. Now the other event in Bellevue appeared to have been organised in order to strengthen Party political support and so it apparently got full permission and was extremely well attended by all accounts. So these two events have apparntly been responsible for quite a large spread of the Corona Virus, but this one is targetted when it appears to have had permission from authorities while the other is not mentioned because an ex-Minister of Health, a medical doctor and present Minister of Foreign Affairs, Parl Rep for the area, appears to have rubber stamped this event despite the fact that his profession should afford him the ability to fully and completely undestand the illnes, the consequences of this most foolish, irresponsible and unfortunate decision to hold this unnecessary event. The organiser here should be held to account as should the others from the Lot event!!1
