Police charge Petite Savanne resident for murder

The police have formally arrested and charge Petite Savanne resident Garry Thomas for the murder of Stalkly Antoine of the same community.

The incident took place on September 26, 2021, at Ravin Shall, Petite Savanne.

Thomas appeared before Magistrate Pearl Williams in Grand Bay on October 4, 2021, where the charge was formally read to him he was not required to plea since murder is an indictable offense.

He is represented by attorney at law Joshua Francis from the Law Chambers of Joshua Francis. The matter was adjourned to January 24, 2022.

Thomas in the meantime has been remanded at the State Prison. His lawyer has indicated to the court his intentions to apply to the high court for bail of his client.
