The police are investigating the stabbing death of Jones Brankar of Kingshill who resided in Roseau over the weekend.
According to police, just after 2 am on Saturday, September 14, 2024, Brankar is alleged to have been stabbed by someone and fell in the vicinity of the Roseau Market where he lives and works.
He was taken to the Accident & Emergency Department of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH) where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
In other police news, a 15-year-old boy is in police custody assisting them in the stabbing of a male individual in Roseau. The police have also confirmed that they have released a man pending further investigations into the shooting death of Clinton Austrie who resided in Canefield on September 12, 2024.
