Police seeking assistance for suspected homicide case in Portsmouth

Police in Dominica are investigating what they claim is a case of “a suspected homicide at TI Bay in Portsmouth.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASP Fixton Henderson, on Sunday, 14th June 2026, at about 8:10 pm, officers of the Portsmouth Police Station responded to a suspected homicide at Ti Bay in Portsmouth.

“Preliminary investigation indicates that a foreign national who was identified as 45-year-old Joshwin Carlice Morgan, who resided at Ti-Bay, was found in an unresponsive state with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, in a motor vehicle, in the Ti-Bay area,” ASP Henderson stated.
He stated that Morgan was transported to the Fitzroy Armour Hospital in Portsmouth, where he was examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor that same evening. The body is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy as the investigation is ongoing.

“The CDPF expresses its sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased Joshwin Morgan.”
