
NEW YORK, United States (AFP) — Sean “Diddy” Combs was convicted of a United States federal prostitution felony on Wednesday but acquitted on far more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.
The jury found Combs guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution after a high-profile seven-week trial.
The guilty verdict was handed down in court on Wednesday.
He received a not guilty verdict on the racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.
Combs, was charged with five counts: one count of racketeering conspiracy and two counts each of sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.
He is now facing a sentence of up to 10 years.
