
A third Police Officer has been arrested and charged in relation to the death of Jerbiah Paul, while Nyoka James, a female 21- year-old of Marigot, has also been charged. According to police, both are charged with the offence of “perverting the course of justice” and will be brought before a magistrate on August 24, 2026, where the charge will be read to them.
This brings to four the number of persons arrested and charged in connection with the death of the 16-year-old Paul.
Meantime, the police have confirmed that an autopsy was performed on the remains found at Capuchin, believed to be that of Jerbiah Paul, by a forensic pathologist.
They now await the pathologist’s report as to the cause of death. DNA analysis has also been sent to a forensic laboratory overseas for identification purposes.
