Two women pleads not guilty to misdemeanor charges after weekend arrest

Aaliyah Roberts and Shaquelle Telemacque who over the weekend (October 14, 2022) were arrested by the police and slapped with various misdemeanor charges, pleaded “not guilty” when the charges were read to them.

According to reports, Roberts who resides in Tarish Pit maliciously damaged one black Samsung cell phone valued at $899.00 the property of Ann Frampton of Kingshill.

She is also charged with battery on police officer Brandon Lawrence and resisting arrest.

Roberts pleaded not guilty to the charges and remains on bail of $3,000.00

Her co-accused, Shaquelle Telemacque of Elmshall, is charged with resisting arrest and refusing to give her name to the police when lawfully required to do so. She also pleaded not guilty to the charges. The incident took place on the Promenade on River Bank in Roseau. She is also on Station bail of $3,000.00

The matters have been adjourned to January 30, 2023. Both ladies are represented by Joshua Francis from the law firm of HAJ Law Chambers on Kennedy Avenue.
