Netisha Louis Danika Paul of Grand Bay, aged 16 years, a student of the Convent High School (CHS), was pronounced dead around 6:30 am on Sunday, August 17, 2025, by a medical doctor at the Grand Bay Health Center.
According to reports from the police, she was taken there for urgent medical attention. At the time of her passing, Danika Paul, who sat the GSAT exams in 2021 and was pronounced the island’s top student, was getting set to enter fifth form at the CHS.
She is also a former student of St. Martin’s Primary School, where she excelled academically.
On behalf of the 2021 class of Ms Bunney of St. Martin’s Primary School, and also the students and staff of the CHS, Nature Isle News (NIN), extends condolences to her mom and other family members at her passing.
Police are investigating the matter.
