PRESS RELEASE

UWP EXECUTIVE EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO THE GRIEVING FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF THE DECEASED
HONOURABLE EDWARD J REGISTE

Roseau, Dominica, 1st, September 2021 – The Leadership of the United Workers Party remains shocked and saddened at the untimely passing of Honourable Edward Registe, Parliamentary Representative of The Grandbay Constituency and Junior Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Honourable Registe was a very polite, jovial, likeable and hardworking Community Leader and national figure. Though he was exceedingly loyal and committed to his Political Party he had no political enemies. Whenever he had the honour to command the Speaker’s Chair in the House of Assembly he always projected an atmosphere of impartiality. “Ed Registe” as he was affectionately known, always dealt with his political opponents with respect. He was a forceful defender of the people of Grandbay when and wherever the situation demanded.

The people of Grandbay have lost a true patriot. It is with a great sense of loss and sadness that we extend our sincerest condolences to his immediate and extended family, as well as the community of Grandbay at his sudden and untimely passing.

NICHOLAS GEORGE (Mr.)

General Secretary

United Workers Party-TEAM Dominica
