Keyara Shillingford awarded Billy Doctrove Sports Scholarship

The firm of Big Edge Financial Express continues to play its part as a corporate citizen as it continues in its 13th year of awarding the Billy Doctrove Sports Scholarship.

Over the years, the company has been making various contributions to students and has a scholarship “The Billy Doctrove Sports Scholarship.”

This year that scholarship went to Keyara Shillingford from Castle Bruce. With assistance from Sports Coordinator Trevor Shillingford whose department is vested with the selection process, young Keyara Shillingford was chosen.

The award entails a full five-year scholarship inclusive of transportation, satisfactory grades, and sports achievements.

In expressing her gratitude for the award, the mother of Keyara Shillingford who is Hasan Antoine said she will ensure that her daughter “does her best in academics and sports to make everyone proud.”

Young Shillingford who has been enrolled as a student of the Castle Bruce Secondary School gave her commitment that she will “do her best in sports and academics to make everyone proud.”

She is the 13th recipient of the Billy Doctrove Sports Scholarship and she is from the Kallinago Territory and formerly attended the Seneku Primary School.

She represented her school in Netball, Table Tennis, Football, Volleyball, Basketball and Track & Field.

Managing Director of Big Edge Financial Express Antonillia Doctrove disclosed that the annual cost of the Billy Doctrove Sports Scholarship is EC$1,000.00 and runs for five years which “includes an allowance to assist the student to continue training on his or her chosen sport.”

“Additionally, the Billy Doctrove Sports Scholarship will meet the full cost of CXC fees, we wish to encourage Miss Shillingford to excel in both academics and sports, remain focused study smart, and utilize your time wisely, the Big Edge family will always be there to support you in all your endevours,” Mrs. Doctrove stated.
