An election in Dominica may be delayed until clarified interpretation of section 14 (1) 7 and Section 13 (1) 7 of the Elections Act.
The Prime Minister can call an election, but may very well be stuck with the new voters’ list.
Is it really true that a writ for an election during the confirmation period means that the old voters’ list must be used? (see the legal provisions below).

There is no clear provision saying that an old voters’ list must be used during the confirmation process
Who and when determines that the old list has been superseded by the new list.
