Economist Dr. Thomson Fontaine has retained his post as leader of the United Workers Party (UWP) but he has a new person as his deputy.

The party held its delegates conference in Marigot over the weekend. Dr. Fontaine was unopposed as leader so too was his new deputy Ronald Charles.

Former leader Lennox Linton was also unopposed for the post of President. Nicholas George retained his post as General Secretary of the party along with international secretary McDonald Ticy Thomas.

Isaac Baptiste also secured a spot on the executive. The trustees remain as Edison James, Norris Prevost, and Ronald Green.
