Three major casualties in DFA’s AGM

As Glen Etienne easily whipped his contenders in a four-way race for the Dominica Football Association (DFA) presidency, it was not so for first vice president Ken George, treasurer Dexter Ducreay and PRO Gerald George.

In a two-way race for the position of second vice president between the incumbent Ericson Degallerie and Yvette Laurent, the incumbent Degallerie amassed 20 votes and Laurent 12.

For the post of treasurer in a two-way race between the incumbent Dexter Ducreay and John Joseph, Ducreay totaled 13 votes and Joseph 19. Christina Sobers was soundly beaten by 20 votes for the post of assistant secretary-treasurer by Leandra Belle-Charles who got 26 votes and Sobers 6.

The shocking result came for the post of PRO between the incumbent Gerald George and Ebi Lawrence with Lawrence collecting 20 votes and George 11.

Colin Bernard, James Jervier, and Joel Hamilton were in a three-way race for the post of youth officer with Hamilton getting 12 and Jervier and Bernard 10 each for Hamilton to be declared the winner.
