PRESS STATEMENT
The Commonwealth Caribbean’s association of anti-corruption bodies has affirmed the shared mission of its members: – to rigorously educate stakeholders on the far-reaching negative impact of corruption on social development and the need for constant vigilance. At this year’s conference which was convened in Guyana in April, member integrity commissions were exhorted to remain steadfast as the task of standing against corruption was often misunderstood, misrepresented, and thankless. The Conference welcomed representatives of anti-corruption bodies throughout the Commonwealth Caribbean, including Jamaica, Turks and Caicos Islands, Antigua & Barbuda, St. Kitts, Nevis, and Grenada. Commissioner Cara Shillingford-Marsh of the Dominica Commission attended the Conference.
The newly-elected Executive of the Commonwealth Caribbean Association of Integrity Commissions and Anti-corruption bodies is headed by Lady Anande Trotman-Joseph of the Grenada Integrity Commission. The Dominica Commission has maintained a position on the Executive since its inauguration in 2015. Commissioner Thomas Holmes is the Commission member currently representing the Dominica Commission.
