PM Skerrit and the delegation in China

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit arrived in Beijing, China on Saturday for an official visit to mark the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Commonwealth of Dominica and the People’s Republic of China.

In his first major outing, the Dominican leader will meet with China’s President H.E Xi Jinping on Monday and Premier Li Qiang and the Chairman of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee, Zhao Leji later that same week.

The Prime Minister will also hold talks with top business leaders including officials of China Global Advisory and attend the Boao Forum for Asia in South China’s Hainan Province.

Dominica will sign several cooperation agreements during this visit, further cementing our strong bilateral ties with the People’s Republic of China.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by his spouse, Minister for Housing and Urban Development Hon. Melissa Skerrit, and other senior government ministers.
