Parliament will convene for the Seventh Meeting of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament on Thursday, 14th December, 2023 at 10: 00 a.m. at the House of Assembly.
At this meeting, the Minister for Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and
Social Security, Dr. Irving McIntyre will seek House approval of Supplementary Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year ending 30th June 2023.
Minister for Health and Social Services, Cassanni Laville will table a motion for the
introduction of a Bill for an Act to amend the Children Care and Adoption Act no. 12 of
2023, one of five family bills adopted by the House earlier this year.
Additionally, three bills to give effect to measures announced in the 2023/24 National
budget will be tabled for approval, namely, the Stamp Act, the Income Tax Act, and the Cooperatives Societies Act. The proceedings will be broadcast live via the Government Information Service and the Dominica Broadcasting Station (DBS).
