We are proud to honour Mathias Peltier Jr., a pillar of Dominican journalism, for his decades of dedicated service to truth, public dialogue, and media excellence.
With over 30 years in the field, Mr. Peltier began his journey as a correspondent for renowned outlets like Radio Antilles, Voice of America, and the BBC Caribbean Report/CANA News. Throughout his career, he has taken on key leadership roles — from News Editor and Program Director at Catholic Radio Voice of the Islands and Kairi FM, to Manager at Marpin Television. He has also led in print media as Editor of the Tropical Star and Managing Director of The Times newspaper.
His voice has become a staple in Dominican talk radio, having produced the hit programme Heng and now hosting two of the country’s most talked-about shows, Talk on the Block and The Hot Seat on Q95 FM.
Trained locally, regionally, and internationally, Mr. Peltier has consistently raised the bar in broadcasting. His work has informed, empowered, and inspired generations.
Not all heroes wear capes — some hold microphones.
