A traffic accident in Red Gully claims two lives

The police are investigating a road traffic accident that occurr during the morning of October 11, 2020.

According to reports, two men from the community of Good Hope left the community for Roseau lost control of a vehicle that plunged in a precipice in Red Gully.

Information reaching Nature Isle News (NIN), reveals that one of the deceased has been identified as Pierre Labasiere, lead vocalist of the Sound Masters band. The other is his nephew, Pierson Labassiere.

A search party, including a relative who is a police officer, was organized, and it was later discovered that the vehicle in which the men were travelling, had plunged down a precipice in the Red Gully area located at L’Imprevue Estate between Springfield and Sylvania.

Pierre Labassiere was also known for writing the theme song for DBS Radio’s “Expeweans Kweyol” program.
