The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, in its thrust to become the world’s first climate-resilient nation, aims to promote sustainable and resilient agriculture and food systems, which supports conservation and sustainable use of Dominica’s natural resources, while ensuring food and nutrition security, wealth creation, employment, diversified livelihoods, and rural development.
In pursuit of that goal, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica and the Minister for the Blue and Green Economy, Agriculture, and National Food Security, will meet with stakeholders to discuss ways to strengthen the value chain to promote food security and achieve sustainable growth in the agriculture sector.

The consultation aims to:
- Identify and discuss existing gaps between demand and supply;
- Identify and strengthen linkages among various stakeholders along the value chain;
- Develop an Action Plan that clearly identifies priority actions of value chain stakeholders including the public sector; and
- Create a working group to champion the priority actions agreed upon.
