All set for 12th edition of Jazz ‘n Creole

Officials of the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) say all is set and ready for Dominica’s 12th Jazz ‘n Creole which is only days away over the May Day weekend. Situated atop the lush Cabrits National Park, the historic Fort Shirley provides incredible views of Prince Rupert Bay and surrounding Portsmouth, making it an ideal venue for a festival of this nature.

This year’s lineup will deliver jazz and-creole-infused performances with international flair from Black Violin, Swingin Stars, Island Jazz
Collective, Phyllisia Ross, Signal Band, and recently added Venezuelan orchestra, Octeto Kanaima.

The festival’s amenities will enhance the musical experience, including the Kid’s Zone, Chill Zone, VIP, Fashion Show, Boutik Domnik (comprised of craft vendors and service providers), multiple food and beverage bars, and ample washroom facilities. Distributors Belfast Estate Ltd., Fine Foods Inc., and Pirates Ltd. will offer premium wines, cocktails, and liquors onsite. A scannable QR code will be
widely visible at the event to assist patrons onsite with their jazz experience.

Regular tickets cost $150 for adults, $75 for children aged 12-17, and free for younger children; however, fringe events continue to offer the special price of $135 per ticket. Groups of 10 and more may also receive the ticket special of $135 per ticket through Discover Dominica Authority (DDA). Limited VIP tickets remain at DDA and the Roseau and Portsmouth locations of HHV Whitchurch & Co. Ltd.
