Alex Bruno has resigned from the newly formed Alternative Peoples’ Party (APP) it’s President Julius Corbette has stated in a news release. But in a Facebook post, Bruno, a co-founder of the party has categorically denied that he has resigned from the party.
According to a release from President of the party Julius Corbette, Bruno who served as “party strategist has mutually agreed to part ways.”
“In the true spirit of transparency which the Alternative Peoples’ Party (APP) prides itself on, we wish to inform the general public that the executive of APP and Political Scientist Alex Bruno, who served as our former party strategist, has mutually agreed to part ways,” Corbette stated.
“Within the past few weeks, there have been several matters which have attempted to threaten the democratic principles and values that the APP stands for. Therefore, the appointed executive, duly recognized by the Electoral Commission of Dominica saw it fit to make some necessary changes.”
He stated that as of September 16, 2021, Bruno officially tendered his resignation to the party’s president which the party executive has had “no objection to accepting.”
“We are grateful for his service and wish him the best…and as we work through this transition, we pledge that we will continue to uphold the dignity of every Dominican person in our every undertaking, put people first always and execute our plans with consensus and a people-centered purpose.”

However, Bruno in a Facebook post has denied the release from the party’s President.
