19-year-old becomes Dominica’s second road fatality

Police are reporting that Nathan Victor male 19 years old of Emshall was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Mahaut and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH) succumbed to injuries sustained and as a result and has died.

According to Police Inspector Fixton Henderson, Victor was one of four passengers on a Nissan March car which was traveling in a northerly direction on the E. O. Leblanc Highway and being driven at the time by Joshua Timothy male 20 years old of Jimmit.

The car reportedly collided with the Western railings of the bridge next to the Mahaut Market and was extensively damaged. “The four other occupants of the vehicle, including the driver, received minor injuries while Nathan Victor received trauma to the head and face,” he said.

“He was admitted and on Sunday, February 5th, 2023, at about 4 am was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.”

In more police news, 52-year-old Thomas Dangleben of Grand Bay who was shot on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at about 11 pm at Grand Bay has died. He was a patient at the Alford Ward of the DCFH. He died at the hospital on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

The police continue investigations into both matters and extend condolences to the family and friends of the deceased families.
