A former National Footballer has appeared before a Roseau Magistrate on several sex-related offenses against two girls under the age of 16 years.
When the charges were read to him, he was not required to enter a plea as the matter is indictable and must be dealt with at the high court before a Judge and jury.
The incidents took place earlier this year. He has also been charged with escaping lawful custody of the police to which he has pleaded “not guilty.”
He was not represented in court when the charges were read to him but told the court that attorney at law Peter Alleyne will be his lawyer and wanted him present when a bail application is heard on his behalf.
The prosecution has indicated to the court that they will object to bail. The matter was adjourned to June 30, 2022, when the court is expected to hear a bail application on his behalf. He is now on remand at the State’s Prison in Stock Farm.
Sentence him twice his age, plus twice the age of the girls!!!
