DeeJay Alfie arrested and charged for Man Slaughter and Cannabis cultivation

Popular Deejay Albert Akel “DeeJay Alfie” Raffoul is now on bail of $82,500.00 with Nadia Raffoul as surety.

He was arrested and charged for the cultivation of 41 plants of cannabis at Gommier Stewart Estate on August 8, 2022. The charge was read to him when he appeared before Magistrate Bernard Pacquette and he pleaded “not guilty” bail was granted in the sum of $20,000.00 and the matter adjourned to November 25, 2022.

Raffoul was also slapped with a charge of “Man Slaughter” for that he, on August 8, 2022, at Gommier Stewart Estate did unlawfully kill Louisa Dorothy Prince.

The prosecution led by inspector Davidson Cadette told the court that in considering bail it need to take on board “the public’s interest” and that if found guilty of the charge of “Man Slaughter” the penalty was grave.

Defense lawyer Kondowani Williams and Wayne Norde led by a senior counsel representing Raffoul in the matter.

Williams told the court after taking a sworn statement from Nadia Raffoul who told the court that Albert Raffoul was sick and had a medical condition and will be going back to do surgery. That information was corroborated by the arresting officer Daniel Omond.

Magistrate Pacquette then deemed Nadia Raffoul a fit and proper person as surety and set bail for Man Slaughter at $62, 500.00.

As part of his bail conditions, he is to report every Monday and Friday between 7 am and 7 pm to the Roseau Police Station, surrender his passport to the court and must seek permission from the court to travel. He is also to inform the court and the police 72 hours in advance if he has to change his address. The Man Slaughter charge has been adjourned to December 5, 2022.

  1. Alfie is a very nice person. I pray that God gets him off this…I think the charges are very harsh and malicious given the circumstances on which the woman died…smh

  2. My girl. What are the circumstances? It seems that you know more than the police or you were an accomplice. They need to arrest you too. What nice person has to do with someone taking someone else’s life? It should be your freaking mother that was dead let me see if you would sing the same song.

    • So he intentionally murdered the woman???? Her death was a freak accident!

Editor’s Note: We at Nature Isle News(NIN) will not tolerate any insults and abusive comments by anyone and we will not hesitate to delete such comments.

      • Can you tell us more about this “freak” accident? Yesterday’s article did not mention the circumstances surrounding her electrocution.

      • That is the question I’m asking. The article lacks information. It says she was electrocuted but he is charged with manslaughter. Was her death accidental or he set to electrocute her.

By the way I see nothing in your comments which was abusive. Stupse

  3. The article didn’t even state the circumstances????? (Well idk if you’re allowed to)
    But its empty without it.
Also, who is Albert raffoul? Should the readers already know who this person is??

  4. The first part of this news report is bad minded news, very malicious. Karma will find all of you involved in the arrest. Whatever your agenda is.
How can you so mischievously tannish someone image like that. Is there a law that say you can lawfully kill somebody?
How can you be so insensitive in your reporting of the news.
You made an innocent man look like a hardback criminal with a mile long offenses. When God is fighting Albert battle and there is no Lossing with Him

  5. Very tragic indeed.

Readers are left to speculate on theories such as setting up an electric fence around a property and the legality of such, thereby invoking the possibility of a crime if someone is injured or killed as a result.

Attorneys will have to prove (or disprove) culpability to judge and jury beyond all reasonable doubt.

In the meantime, Louisa’s family really need some support for their loss.

  6. Well like I said allu know more than most of us do. So it is ok that the lady is dead? She kill herself man. Steups

  7. Albert is a good person an I know he never meant to hurt anybody I believe it was an accident because the girl goes to the same church as him so don’t try to Danish the brother name get all the facts before casting stone let the law deal with the situation an stop putting judgement on the brother .

  8. Boy u see that country there…u see how much children that is being molested and no picture yet to go up but just because is a man of God doe worry alphe God will take u through this I know u and I know u are a good person

  9. As far as I can see, the article seems to be reporting the basic facts of the incident. My only comment is that it could have stated the name of the senior Counsel who is leading the case, and also the grammar & phrasing needs tidying up but we get the basic message.

  10. But how can u plead mot guilty if u have more weed than required by law. U are guilty the prove is right. Isnt it his father inlaw thebine that saying the police not doing their job? Yet behind thier backyard they are breaking the law🙃

  11. 41 plants of weed to make oil and sell u guilty without legal permit. Darkness most come to light🤔 thou hypocrites. Is not pastor randy that say tye police not doing their job? Well I think is citizen like u all that not following the law of the land.
