Chester Seraphine of Good Hope has pleaded guilty at the High Court in Roseau for the March 2018 murder of Englebert Laurent of the same community.
In the early hours of March 10, 2018, at Good Hope, Seraphine, then aged 31 inflicted head injuries to then 39 years of Englebert Laurent who died as a result of the injuries sustained.
Seraphine was arrested and charged for murder and at his arraignment, he pleaded guilty. A social inquiry report along with a psychiatric evaluation was ordered by the court before sentencing later.
