High Court Judge Thomas Astaphan has imposed a $50.00 fine on two jurors who failed to appear in court on April 19, 2023.
The bailiff testified that he served Dirk Saint Jean and Gwenie Hector of La Plaine and they were also at orientation but failed to appear in court.
According to Justice Astaphan, while they applied for an exemption, from the court, that was not dealt with and they failed to appear so he imposed the $50.00 fine.
