Police in Dominica is investigating a shooting incident that has left one man nursing gunshot wounds at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH) and also a traffic accident that has left one person dead.
According to the head of the Criminal investigating department (CID) Assistant Superintendent Belgrove Charles, on Saturday 26th February 2022 Police responded to a shooting incident at Yampiece where Lester Charles male 38 yrs of FondCole sustained a gunshot wound to head by an unidentified individual. Lester is presently nursing his injuries at the DCFH.
“Anyone with information which could assist in solving this matter should contact the Police @ 2665164/2665165/ the hotline 911or crime stoppers @18008477,” ASP Charles said.
“I can confirm that one man, Brian McPherson of St. Aromant succumbed to his injuries after he and his wife were struck by a passing vehicle on Sunday 27th February 2022 on St Aromant public road. His wife is nursing her injuries at the DCFH. An investigation is ongoing,” he stated.
