Police have confirmed to Nature Isle News (NIN) the shooting death of Mordecai Maynes of Bath Estate in the early hours of June 11, 2022, resulting in the death of the 29-year-old.
According to reports, he was shot several times in what appeared to be “a drive-by shooting” on the Bay Front in Roseau.
The body was taken to the Dominica China Friendship Hospital where it was officially pronounced dead by a “medical doctor.”
The police have also stated that the body was taken to Lynhurst Funeral Home for “safe keeping awaiting a post-mortem inquiry and autopsy.”
According to the police, they are continuing ‘investigations into the matter.”
