Police have arrested one of their own as investigations intensify into the weekend shooting of Gleny Bruney Jr.
Nature Isle News (NIN) can confirm that Police Constable Ransome Frederick has been formally arrested for the illegal shooting of Bruney. Reports are that Bruney was shot four (4) times and is a patient at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH).
The police are yet to release any formal report or statement on the matter. The accused is represented in the matter by attorney at law Wayne Norde and is expected to make a formal court appearance during the week when his charge (s) will be read to him.
Constable Frederick is attached to the Roseau Police Station.
