A strengthening high-pressure system is expected to result in gradually increasing wind speeds during the next 48 hours. Low-level moisture within the wind flow is likely to produce occasional cloudiness with brief showers during the period.
Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 12 to 24 hours, with swells up to 8.0ft today, on the northern and eastern coastlines. A further increase to 10.0ft is possible on Saturday. A Small Craft Advisory and High Surf Advisory are in effect. Small-craft operators and sea-bathers around the island are advised to exercise caution.
