Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Moisture trailing a tropical wave interacting with an upper-level trough will continue to affect the area during the morning. Increased cloudiness with showers and thunderstorms will be maintained during the morning period, with improved conditions expected from the afternoon. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks are advised to exercise caution mainly during the morning.
Another strong tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic, with a high chance of development, is currently expected to begin affecting the southern portion of the island chain on Tuesday. Residents are advised to monitor the progress of this wave.
Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours, with waves peaking to 8.0ft in eastern coastal waters. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for above-normal swells. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.
