Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Today, a high-pressure system is expected to be dominant across the central and northern portions of the Lesser Antilles, including Dominica resulting in a few morning showers. Meanwhile, an approaching tropical wave is expected to produce showers with possible thunderstorms over the islands to the south. Some moisture associated with this wave could spread northwards to Dominica, later tonight, and into tomorrow.
Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 48 hours, with waves peaking at 5.0ft in eastern coastal waters.
