Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles
Valid from 6:00 AM on Friday, March 10, 2023
A weak trough system will result in light winds over the area during the next 12 to 24 hours. However, a dry atmosphere is likely to continue limiting shower activity over Dominica through the next few days. Meanwhile, a cold front will generate a slight increase in cloudiness with some scattered showers across the Leeward Islands.
Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 48 hours, with swells near 7.0ft along the eastern coastline. A High Surf Advisory is in effect for above-normal seas in Dominica’s coastal waters. Small-craft operators and seas should exercise caution. A continued increase in swells is projected.
