Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

A low-level trough is expected to support an increase in showers particularly over the extreme northern and southern portions of the island chain today. An approaching tropical wave is projected to begin affecting the area overnight, resulting in showers and possible thunderstorms across most of the Lesser Antilles by Wednesday.
Dust haze of varying concentrations will be evident in the area over the next few days. People with respiratory sensitivities should take precautions to avoid complications.
Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours, with waves peaking at 7.0ft in eastern coastal waters. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise some caution.
