The curtain was drawn on Sunday 5th February 2023 in the Sports Division Secondary Schools Football Competitions with the Championship Match in the U15 Division.
The Dominica Grammar School captured their 3rd Championship of the season with a dominating 5 goals to 1 defeat of the Castle Bruce Secondary School.
The stakes were high for both Schools as they had already met each other in the finals of the 13 and Under and the U17 Divisions and had sheared the Championships one apiece, so winning the U15 Division would give one of them bragging rights for the following year.
However, the Castle Bruce Secondary had no answer to Chance Marshall and the boys in Maroon as they ran out with 5 goals to 1 victory.
The Dominica Grammar School went into the half leading by 2 goals to 0 with a goal each from Most Valuable Player of the Final Chance Marshall and Geovanni George. Castle Bruce Secondary School only had themselves to blame as they squandered several goal-scoring opportunities in the half.
In the second half the Castle Bruce Secondary School had no answer for the Dominica Grammar School as they were rolled over with one goal each from Chance Marshall and Geovanni George to complete their brace (2 goals) each and Shem Theophille with 1 goal completed the scoring for DGS.
Anthony Scotland got the consolation goal for the Castle Bruce Secondary School.
Congratulations to the Coaching Staff and players of the Dominica Grammar School on their successful 2023 football season.
