Dominican Republic mauls Dominica 2 nil in CONCACAF Nations League game

Coming from a 2-1 win over host country Antigua, Dominica was a “no match” to the Dominican Republic going down 2-0.

Dominica went into that game with the same 11 they went past Antigua and playing under the 11 am sun, soon found the going against a much more experienced Dominican Republic team very tough as the defense of the Dominica team was all over the place.

The lads from the Nature Isle seem rusty and despite some brilliant saves from caption and goalkeeper Glenson Prince, the Dominican Republic took the lead in the 12th minute of play Ronaldo Vásquez scored and it soon became 2-0 when Dorny Romero scored.

The second half of play saw a more purposeful Dominica and despite Coach Ellington Sabin making several substitutions, the all-important goal eluded Dominica with the Dominican Republic holding on to a 2-nil scoreline at the end of the final whistle.
