Exodus made a winning start

After a premature end to their opening round encounter last week, Exodus FC has begun their quest to return to the Premier Division League.

On Thursday evening at the Almond Park in Dublanc, it was the clash of the two St. Joseph based clubs. In the end, it was the former Premier League club that downed newcomers, St. Joseph FC, by two goals to one.

Kimon Walter opened the scoring for the winners in the 47th minute of play. The score quickly became tow nil when Nilster George converted in the 52nd minute of play.  Aaron Nicholas pulled one back for St. Joseph FC in the 82nd minute.

St. Joseph FC won their first encounter by three goals to nil against Glanvillia Renegades.

In a Group 1 encounter of Wednesday evening at the same venue, Harlem United defeated Denise Charles Pointe Michel FC by three goals to two in a rescheduled encounter.

Tyreke Jno Baptiste scored two goals for Harlem while the winners benefited from an own goal.

Kiran Lewis and Justin Casimir with one goal each scored for Pointe Michel FC.

The action will continue with several matches this Saturday and Sunday.
