Former Olympian elected for another term

Pioneers Athletics Club has kept faith with veteran sports administrator and coach, Cedric Harris, and has elected him for another two year term. Harris, who leads one of the leading athletics club on the island was elected as president on April 5, 2023 when the PAC held its annual general meeting. 

Harris, who represented Dominica at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, in the USA will lead a 10 –member executive and have been charged with the responsibility of governing the affairs on behalf of its members. Harris will be aided by Kurnish Jean Jacques, who will serve in the capacity as vice president. The secretary is Neesa Joseph, who will be assisted by Lisa De Freitas. Dawn Oscar will hold the position of treasurer. The committee members are Zanjae Jno Baptiste and Vernisse Durand.  

The rest of the executive include Indo White who will serve in the capacity of senior male. Meralda Thomas is the senior female representative on the executive. The junior captain is Angelique Nanevie.  

The PAC is a regular fixture at meets especially in the French territories of Martinique and Guadeloupe. The club boasts of several athletes who have represented the island at regional and international competition.
