Officials from the Ministry of Public Works are mobilizing forces to ensure that the road under the Tarreau Cliff is opened to motorists.
This after a number of slides came down making the road in passable today.
The island has experienced heavy rains over the past 24 to 48 hours causing ravines in Pointe Michel to overflow its banks and also a few slides in the Dubique/Stowe area.
No injuries have been reported.
