After being suspended for a week due to the increase in confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the island, football action returned on Thursday evening with Denise Charles Pointe Michel FC strolling to an impressive victory in the 2020 Dominica Football Association Division One League.
In a Group One encounter contested at the Almond Park in Dublanc, Kensborough United proved to be no match as they were crushed by six goals to nil in a one-sided affair.
Raheim Angol was in top form as he found the back of the net three times. Angol was well supported by Dante Warrington, Perry Charles, and Jante Casimir with one goal each.
When the action continues today, Friday, in one of two scheduled matches, South East FC will do battle against RC Doctors FC from 6 pm at the Almond Park. In the other scheduled matchup, LA Enterprises Bombers FC will take on East Central FC from 6 pm at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth.
On Saturday, Central Cooperative Credit Union LTD Dublanc FC will play against Calibishie Diasporas FC from 4 pm at the Almond Park while at the Castle Bruce Playing Field, WE United FC will host Itassi FC from 3:30 pm.
All the matches in the Division One League will be contested in Group 2.
