On Friday at Benjamin Park in Portsmouth, former national player Randolph Peltier rolled back the years as he found the back of the net three times. His hat trick enabled his club to defeat LA Enterprise Bombers FC by five goals to two and stopped a four-game losing streak. Burt Casimir scored the other goal while one goal came from the boots of a Bombers FC player. Cobin Paul and Tyriq Joseph scored one goal each for the home club.
In another encounter on Friday, Valvoline WE United FC was condemned to their third consecutive defeat as they went down to two times defending champions Sagicor South East FC by three goals to one. Sydney Lockhart, Adriel Lawrence, and Shem Abraham scored one goal each for the winners. National player Fabio Drigo scored for WE United FC.
On Sunday, in one of three matches, Connect 767 East Central FC and Central Cooperative Credit Union LTD Dublanc FC played to a one-all draw. Ricardo Drigo scored for East Central while McConey Royer scored for the home club.
Blue Waters Bath Estate FC edged out Tranquility Beach Middle Ham United FC by three goals to two, while at the Almond Park in Dublanc, Promex Harlem recorded their third victory in a row with two goals to one win over LA Stars FC.
Meanwhile, national player Javed George was named the DFA Player of the Year for 2022. George copped the prestigious award on Saturday when the DFA held its annual prize-giving ceremony. Several players received awards for the Patrick John Cup and the President’s Cup.
