Police in Dominica are investigating a homicide at the islands only penal facility.
According to reports reaching Nature Isle News (NIN), an inmate was found with his throat slashed at the Stock Farm Prison.
Police sources said that the incident occurred late Monday evening August 17, 2020.
The inmate has been identified as Ronnie Francis of Kingshill who has been on remand on a charge of arson.
NIN understands that Francis has a history of mental illness. A source close to the investigations revealed that it was a case of suicide, however the police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
