Dr. Darroux Project Eagles has sounded an early warning to the other teams participating in the 2020 Bafond Point Sports Club Football League.
In the Ball-o-Rama which took place on Sunday at the Bagatelle Playing Field, Dr. Darroux Project Eagles walked away with the championship after defeating Dominica National Lottery Blast Fond St. Jean FC on penalty kicks after the encounter ended love all at the end of regulation time.
After both teams threw away their three penalty kicks each, it was the Project Eagles that emerged victorious in sudden death.
En route to the finals, Blast Fond St. Jean FC got the better of DDA Hillside by one goal to nil while Project Eagles booked their place in the finals as they defeated ACS P Town on penalty kicks.
A total of six teams participated in the event. The teams come from the communities of Fab, Fond St. Jean, and Bagatelle. The other participating teams are ICWI Quart Bois FC and Jungle Bay Fab Gunners.
The league will begin this weekend.
