Two assisting police in weekend homicide

The police say that they are making steady progress in a homicide which occurred over the weekend in Laduat.

According to police in Dominica, Damien Ernest aged 23 years male adult of Back Street Kings Hill was found at about 11 am on the said date on the road close to the Boeri Lake lying face down with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

He was taken to the Casualty department of the Princess Margaret Hospital where the body was pronounced dead.

 Two men from the Southern community of Grand Bay are now in police custody assisting them in the investigations.

Meantime, the police are reporting a fatal traffic accident on Saturday, June 27, 2020, on the Fond Cole public road. Dead is 19-year old Jahrun Pascal of Stock Farm.

According to police, he (Pascal) collided with Nissan X-Trail #PR585 driven by 31-year-old Bianca Toussaint of Mahaut. Pascal was the rider of Yamaha Scotter #PV825. Information received by Nature Isle News (NIN), indicates that the collation occurred while the rider of the scooter was traveling in a southerly direction and the Nissan X-Trial in a northerly.

The impact threw the rider off where he sustained injuries to his head and other parts of his body, he was transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor. A post mortem is to be conducted on both bodies.
