Valvoline WE United players suspended

Three players of the Valvoline WE United FC have been suspended from participating in all activities organized under the auspices of the Dominica Football Association with immediate effect pending the outcome of a disciplinary committee hearing.

The DFA had cause to suspend the three players for their behavior during and at the conclusion of the semifinal encounter between Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC and Valvoline WE United FC on 16th August 2022 in the 2022 DFA Patrick John Cup. WE United FC lost the encounter by four goals to one after drawing first blood.

Jevon Henry, Kimiah Straun, and Randell Coipel are the players suspended and will miss the 3rd place encounter against Promex Harlem United carded for this evening from 6 pm at the Stockfarm Complex.

Both Straun’s and Henry’s suspensions came as a result of violent conduct and aggressive behavior as well as threatening language towards the match officials. They were suspended for breaching Articles 30 and 32 which speak to offensive behavior and threats respectively. Coipel was suspended for breaching only Article 30.

The players are expected to appear before the disciplinary committee of the DFA which is headed by attorney at law, Ronald Charles.
